In March-April we were in Japan for three weeks on a fantastic concert tour! Sold out everywhere. I am so grateful for so many things. We met so many wonderful people who put in so much strength and energy to make the concert tour happen.
My concerts were held in Tokyo, Hiroshima, Osaka and Kansai area. We changed accommodation 8 times so we literally lived out of a suitcase this time. During the trip we got to meet many of our friends and reconnected with a lot of people. So there were many dear reunions! And I received a lot of bouquets of flowers!
1992 I did my first concert tour in Japan and since then I have been there at least once a year with the exception of three sabbaticals in 1997, 2004 and 2019. In 2020 I had a concert tour planned but it was cancelled due to the pandemic. So before this spring tour this year I had not been to Japan for about 6.5 years. That is also why this successful tour was extra fun!
Patrik, who of course travelled with me (his 5th time in Japan), and I really enjoyed being back and meeting all the fantastic Japanese people! It was extra fun to launch my new CD "Hanamo" (=Flower) with a new song in my repertoire with the same name. We enjoyed all the cherry blossom trees that were blooming everywhere in Japan. One of the days in Osaka we went out and filmed a bit and that turned out to be a new music video.
