So incredibly fun and honorable to receive this award! It came as a total surprise and was a greater encouragement than anyone might think.
I usually wake up in the morning with an eagerness and joy within me to get started (even if the body and fatigue sometimes make the starting distance a little long). I feel incredibly privileged to have so many different ”legs" to stand on. Singing, lecturing, writing, painting, etc. I love to do, but I often ask myself if I'm on the right track and if my priorities in the different tasks have the right proportions.
Therefore, this award means a lot to me. My motivation and joy in all the different things I do grow and the focus hopefully gets sharper.
A big and warm thank you to the jury who chose me as the recipient of the award this year! And I am very proud of the fantastic justification you gave:
"The Lighthouse Prize 2025 is awarded to an artistry that is more multifaceted than that of many other artists. This voice has resonated both near and far through its way of conveying Christian hope. Carried by a radiant personality, it never ceases to touch its audience."
In addition to the flowers and the diploma that I received, I also was presented with a large painting, an original photo by Andreas Joakimson depicting a lighthouse. It has now been given a place of honor at Patrik's and my home in the living room, right next to our TV, where we sit the most.
I have received other awards over the years and feel so grateful that my song is appreciated by so many.
