After all these months of preparation, it feels almost a little unreal to write those words. But we are actually here!
Our journey began early in the morning at Landvetter Airport. After checking in and taking care of everything that comes with travelling, we had some time to relax in the lounge.
And what do you do when you have a long journey ahead of you? Well, of course I got my knitting out! π§Άπ
It was lovely to have a quiet and relaxing moment before it was time to board.
And then we had a very nice surprise at Landvetter β we ran into our friends Ann and Rolf! So much fun! β€οΈ
And then we were off! First a short flight, a change of planes in Copenhagen, and then finally onwards to Japan. βοΈ
After the long journey, we finally arrived!
Waiting for us at the airport was Gunilla Okabe, a dear friend of many years. What a wonderful feeling after such a long flight to come through the airport and be greeted by a familiar face!
We then went home with Gunilla to her and her husband Yochan's house, where Patrik and I have been given the wonderful opportunity to stay for our first few nights in Japan.
And what a welcome we received! β€οΈ
Last night, Yochan cooked us an absolutely delicious dinner. After the long journey, it was wonderful to sit down together, enjoy a lovely meal and simply land β both literally and figuratively.
There is something very special about returning to Japan and being able to begin this journey in the home of dear old friends.
So now we're trying to adjust to Japanese time and recover a little from the journey β but not for very long, because everything starts already today! πΆπΈ
Today, my first performance awaits, and over the coming weeks there will be many concerts, encounters and experiences.
I'm so happy that you are following along with us here on the blog. I'll try to take you with me not only to the concerts, but also into everything that happens in between β the people, the travelling, the meals and all those little moments along the way.
